Another banking blog for customers

RaboPlus, the direct local arm of Dutch banking giant Rabobank, has launched a blog.

Customers can communicate directly with RaboPlus Australia head of financial services Bryan Inch.

Inch says the blog represents the group’s commitment to bringing customers into the conversation.

”It is important to me to listen to our customers and take their feedback and concerns seriously and act on them. I don’t want to be hidden in an office just running RaboPlus. To do that properly, I need to engage with our customers.”

Savings & Loans Credit Union CEO Greg Connor is the only other senior banking executive currently conversing with customers in the blogosphere, with most institutions adopting a “wait and see” approach to blogging.

RaboPlus has already acknowledged the blog will be a place for both positive and negative feedback. With a growing local customer base and a regular email newsletter to generate discussion, it shouldn’t be long before TRaboPlus customers start to have their say.

A quick look at the customer response to Savings & Loans Credit Union’s new branding on Greg Connor’s blog gives banking bloggers some insight into what to expect – criticism and compliments.
