UBank’s foray into social media could have turned into a social faux pas, but is instead looking like a social triumph
What started as “a bit of a joke” has become an important part of UBank’s business strategy and hiring policy, says managing director Gerd Schenkel of the bank’s embrace of social media.
“We started out experimenting on the corporate card. it became apparent there was real customer demand for that, so we made it more professional. We’re still on that journey, but we’re making it more and more part of the business model.”
