We came, WePay, we conquered
Whether you’re a club, association or bunch of students, making group payments is about to become a cinch, says WePay
The way group payments are facilitated and managed is set to become easier as start-up WePay takes on PayPal and the banks to target clubs, associations and students.
“We defintely see ourselves as a competitor to PayPal,” says WePay co-founder Richard Aberman.
WePay was founded in 2008 to help groups cllect and manage money. Aberman and his college friend Bill Clerico reckoned they could vastly improve the painful experience faced by organisers when collecting funds for clubs, associations, social events or share house bills. So they set about building a simple and easy payments interface.
WePay officially launched to the public in March nad has seen strong early interest from college groups.
